Ayurvedic Treatment for ENT

The senses of sight, smell, and hearing allow us to explore the environment. By putting sensory organs atop the skull, nature has given them great importance.
Excessive or inappropriate usage, as well as external circumstances, create diseases of these specific organs, which are outlined in Ayurveda as AstamyaIndriyarthSanyog and Parinam. The inappropriate use of organs and environmental variables include constant use of electronic screens, listening to music, being in a noisy setting, working in poorly lit circumstances, or being exposed to excessively intense lighting. Non-nutritious meals, smoking, and poor personal cleanliness are all factors that contribute to poor health. These illnesses are treated and controlled in Ayurveda through the Shalakya Tantra branch.

Cataract

A cataract is an eye condition in which the eye's normally clear lens becomes clouded, causing visual loss. Cataracts are a frequent illness that occurs as a result of the ageing process. The power of the lens may be enhanced as a result of age-related cataract formation, resulting in near-sightedness (myopia). Cataracts usually develop slowly, causing vision loss and, if left untreated, blindness. It generally affects both eyes at the same time, although one is always afflicted first.

Conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis is caused by inflammation of the conjunctiva, a thin white coating on the outside of our eyeball that surrounds and protects the eye's inner layers. It is a prevalent eye condition that affects thousands of people each year. Conjunctivitis is called as netrabhishyanda in Ayurveda.

Epistaxis

Epistaxis is a type of haemorrhage or bleeding from the nose. It's a symptom of vitiated body heat, and it's frequently linked to high blood pressure and other systemic illnesses brought on by too much heat in the body. During the warmer summer months, many people get epistaxis.

Tonsillitis

Epistaxis is a type of haemorrhage or nasal bleeding. It's a symptom of vitiated body heat, and it's commonly linked to high blood pressure and other systemic illnesses brought on by the body's excessive heat. During the warmer months, many people get epistaxis.

Stye

A stye on the eyelid is a tiny, inflammatory boil. It can affect the skin of the brows or eyelids, with the lower lid being the most often affected. Stye is usually caused by an inflammatory hair follicle or a sebaceous gland infection along the border of the eyelid. It's called as anjananamika in Ayurveda.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is a condition of the eye that causes visual loss. Intraocular pressure rises, causing visual loss over time. Early diagnosis of ocular hypertension is essential for preventing and treating vision loss. Glaucoma is divided into two types: open-angle glaucoma and narrow-angle glaucoma. Both diseases cause the drainage canals to clog, resulting in increased eye pressure and optic nerve damage.

Goitre

Goitre is a condition in which the thyroid gland enlarges and causes swelling in the throat. Though non-cancerous and typically painless, if the colloid nodules get too big, swallowing and breathing become difficult. Women and adults over the age of 50 are more likely to get the illness. Thyroid disorders, such as hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, may or may not be linked with goitre. Goitre is referred to as 'galaganda' in Ayurveda.
With natural herbal medications, food, and lifestyle changes, Ayurvedic therapy for colloid nodular goitre and diffuse goitre focuses on addressing the root-cause of the disease for long-term healing.

Myopia

Short-sightedness, often known as myopia, is the inability to perceive objects at a distance. Light rays entering the eyes are meant to converge on a certain spot on the retina. In myopia, however, they begin to converge considerably ahead of the retina, resulting in impaired vision of distant things but clear vision of near ones. Thousands of patients of various ages have benefited from Ayurvedic myopia therapy, which has effectively halted further deterioration and improved eyesight.

Senile Deafness

Senile deafness is a kind of deafness that develops beyond the age of 65 to 70. It worsens with age and can eventually lead to total deafness. In Ayurveda, deafness is referred to as karnabadhirya. Senile deafness is most commonly caused by old age. However, senile deafness does not affect everyone as they age. People who have been exposed to loud noise in their early years of life or as a result of their jobs are more likely to develop senile deafness. Degenerative alterations in the neurological system may make deafness more likely.
