Ayurvedic Treatment for Urinary Problems

The urinary system, which includes the kidneys, bladder, urethra, and ureter, is responsible for removing toxins and wastes from the body. Mutraghata is classified into 13 kinds by Ayurveda (urinary problems). It might be something as basic as a burning feeling when passing pee, an infection, or something more serious like kidney stones, kidney inflammation, or bladder cancer. Urinary incontinence might sometimes be a sign of underlying metabolic problems.

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)

Urinary Tract Illness (UTI) is a common bacterial infection that occurs in the urinary tract. The infection generally begins in the urethra and spreads to the bladder and other areas of the urinary system. There is a burning sensation when peeing, as well as an increase in urine frequency. Females are more likely to get the disease since their urethra is smaller (and hence more readily infected) and located near the anus (a source of contamination). Urinary Tract Infection can be caused by a variety of factors, including diabetes, bowel incontinence, kidney stones, immobility, low fluid intake, and pregnancy.
Increased consumption of sour, salty, bitter, oily, spicy, and fried meals, as well as tea, coffee, and alcoholic drinks, aggravates Pitta (Fire) in the body, resulting in UTI. Excessive physical activity, as well as working in the sun or in hot weather, aggravates the disease.

Kidney Stones

Kidney stones are produced when minerals and waste elements present in urine crystallise. A kidney stone might be as little as a pinhead and pass through urine undetected, or it can be as huge as a grapefruit and clog the urinary route, causing severe discomfort and bleeding as well as stopping urine flow. It's called as VrukkaAshmari in Ayurveda (vrukka means kidney and ashmari means stone). Each case of kidney stone therapy in Ayurveda is unique since medications are customised for each patient for optimal efficiency.
Excessive consumption of alcoholic drinks, tea, and coffee, heavy, fatty, sugary, and difficult to digest meals or reduced intake of fresh vegetables, salt, alkaline-producing foods, water, and repressing the need to pass stools and urine are all common causes of stones.
It's crucial to remember that, despite their numerous similarities in symptoms, gall bladder stones and kidney stones are two completely distinct health issues. People who have had kidney stones in the past are more likely to develop gall bladder stones.

Cystitis

Infections in the urinary tract cause painful, frequent, or burning urination, as well as discomfort, blood, or pus in the urine. Urinary tract infections can affect the urethra, prostate, or urinary bladder. Symptoms of systemic disease are rarely found in such situations, and the symptoms are similar to dysuria. In Ayurveda, disorders like mootrakruchhra, or dysuria, are referred to as mootrakruchhra.
The inflammation of the urinary bladder is known as cystitis. Infection is the most common cause, and it's frequently accompanied by painful urination. The inflammation of the urethra causes urethritis, while the inflammation of the prostate gland causes prostatitis. The most frequent symptom of all of the diseases listed above is uncomfortable urinating.

Prostatitis

Prostatitis is a condition in which the prostate is inflamed. Mootrakruchhra, or dysuria, is a term used in Ayurveda to describe such situations.

Renal Failure

Renal function can be harmed by illnesses or medications that affect the renal parenchyma, extrarenal disorders such as acute circulatory failure, or circumstances that prevent urine from leaving the body. The resulting decline in kidney function can be abrupt or chronic, with different degrees of severity.
Acute renal failure is caused by diseases such as acute glomerulonephritis, bilateral pyelonephritis, severely high blood pressure, and systemic lupus erythematosus, whereas chronic renal failure is caused by conditions like progressive glomerulonephritis, chronic pyelonephritis, polycystic kidney disease, and tuberculosis of the kidneys.
Kidneys are the roots of madovahasrotas (fat tissue channels) and are made up of rakta and medadhatus, according to Ayurveda (blood and fat tissues). As a result, illnesses that arise from these dhatus (tissues) might damage the kidneys and lead to their failure. It is well-known in Madhumeha (diabetes).

Urethritis

The urethra is inflamed with urethritis. Mootrakruchhra, or dysuria, is a term used in Ayurveda to describe such situations.
